new year’s eve happened. it was loud. very loud. the sky had bright lights. they call them fireworks. i do not like them. they boom like big thunders. i was scared.

i went under the bed. it’s safe there. my heart was racing. i thought what is happening. are we okay. but then my humans came. they are nice. they gave cuddles. they said soothing things. they played calm music. i got my chew toy. it’s my favorite.

the little human stayed with me. they said it’s okay luna. i felt better. my family was there. we waited. the booms slowly stopped. i felt brave again. i came out from under the bed. we had cuddles. it was nice.

the booms were not so bad. not with my family. when it was quiet again i was happy. i thought new year’s eve is okay. but less booms would be nice.

so if you are scared of booms. find a safe spot. humans remember. we need extra love when it’s loud.

i hope 2024 has more treats. less booms. and lots of tail wags. happy new year friends. may your year be good. and quiet.
