hi it’s luna. i had a bath today. i did not like it. not at all.

baths are wet. baths are soapy. i do not like being wet. i do not like being soapy. the water was everywhere. it made my fur all heavy. i felt like a soggy squirrel.

the humans said it’s bath time luna. i thought why. why must we do this. i tried to hide. but they found me. they always do. they said you’re a stinky girl luna. i thought stinky is good. stinky is me.

the soap smelled like flowers. i do not want to smell like flowers. i am a dog. i like to smell like dirt. like leaves. like the things i find. not flowers.

they scrubbed and scrubbed. i just stood there. i gave them the sad eyes. i thought maybe they’ll stop. but they kept going. they said you’ll feel better luna. i thought i felt fine before.

then came the rinse. more water. it was like a rainstorm. in the bathroom. i shook. i shook a lot. water went everywhere. i thought this is my revenge. but they just laughed. they said good girl luna. i was not feeling like a good girl.

now i am clean. i am fluffy. they say i smell nice. i miss my smells. i will go roll in the yard tomorrow. i will find my smells again.

baths are not for me. i hope the next one is far away. very far.
