hi friends luna here. today is different. the humans say it’s leap day. i don’t understand. it seems like a regular day. but with a special name.

i heard the humans talking. they said it’s an extra day. once every four years. i tilted my head. i thought why. why do we need an extra day.

i sniffed around. i looked for something different. something that says leap day. but everything was the same. the sun came up. the birds sang. i went for my walk.

i played with my toys. i took my naps. i waited for something to happen. but it was just a day. like any other day.

the humans seemed happy. they said it’s special. i wagged my tail. i thought if they’re happy. i’m happy. but i still don’t get it.

maybe leap day is just a human thing. a reason to smile. to celebrate. i guess that’s okay. any reason to be happy is good.

i’ll just enjoy the day. like i always do. i’ll run. i’ll play. i’ll love. leap day or not. it’s a good day to be a dog.
