hi friends luna here. today the humans are talking about something called holi. they say it’s a festival of colors. i don’t understand. i see colors every day. but they seem extra excited.

they have powders. so many colors. reds. blues. greens. they laugh. they throw the colors at each other. i watch. i tilt my head. i think why are we throwing colors.

i’m curious. i sniff the colors. they’re bright. they make the humans look funny. like colorful creatures. i wag my tail. i think maybe this is a game.

but i stay back. i’m not sure about being colorful. i like my fur the way it is. i think maybe i’ll just watch.

the humans dance. they play music. it’s loud. it’s happy. i bark along. i think i like the music part. i like when the humans are happy.

they call me over. they want to put colors on me. i hesitate. i think do i want to be red. or blue. maybe not.

i decide it’s okay. just a little color. they put a small dot on me. it’s green. i look at it. i think it’s not so bad. i’m part of holi now.

i don’t fully understand holi. but i see the joy. i see the smiles. i think any reason to be happy is good.
